I attended the annual ASCE/SEI Structures Conference held in Pittsburgh, PA (May 2-4), where I also organized a Special Session on structural robustness together with Prof. Clay Naito (Associate Professor and Associate Chair, Lehigh University). My colleagues Chiara Crosti (StroNGER srl), Francesca Brando Brando (Thornton Tomasetti)and Pierluigi Olmati (Sapienza University of Rome) all had contributions in the Special Session.

I also prolonged my staying abroad for respectively two weeks, visiting colleagues at Universities, research centers and private firms, in NYC(NY), Bethlehem (PA), Buffalo (NY) and Montreal (CA), engaging in research, professional and recreational activities.
While in Pittsburgh, I visited together with Pierluigi Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater House.
